ACCBank, in the face of the finanical crisis undertook a substanial restructure, closing a large part of its network and re-focusing its efforts in risk management. It now consists of 9 Business Centres. It continues to be a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Rabobank Group.
The Agricultural Credit Corporation was founded in September 1927 and was one of the first creations of the Irish Free State.
A new Agricultural Credit Act empowered the corporation to deploy up to 25% of its risk assets outside agriculture and the foundations of present day ACCBank were laid.
ACCBank refocused its business model on the SME and Agri sectors positioning the bank as a relationship bank in these sectors.
ACCBank became a wholly owned subsidiary of Rabobank, a AAA rated bank. Rabobank is one of the worlds leading and safest banks.
ACC Bank plc trading as ACCBank is regulated by the Central Bank of Ireland. ACC Bank plc is part of the Rabobank Group.
